Discussion Questions by Birte Gunnarsson

1. When you first saw the title, The Weird Sisters, what did you think the book would be about? What do you think the title really means?
We thought it would be about witches and special powers, not about sisters with problems. Now we think that the title was more about the problems that these three sisters faced and how strange they were compared to our lives.

2. Were you expecting the book to end the way it did? What was different than you thought it would be?
There was a lot of foreshadowing so we kind of knew what was going to happen. We guessed from the beginning that Cordy would keep her baby.

3. What do you think the final theme of the novel was?
We think the final theme of the novel was to find your strength in times of struggle and to never give up on what you believe in.

4.What do you think about Cordy finally settling down at the end of the book?
We thought that it was very obvious that she would. We were not surprised at all by her decisions and were expecting this to happen.

Overall Review of the Book
It didn't grab our attention like we thought it would. It was not as good as people's book reviews were. We were more excited at the beginning of the book, but it all went down hill. We would not recommend this book to others because it is not exciting and has no shocking parts to it. We were disappointed because we had such high expectations for it because of all the reviews we read.
